There are regular trains to Cambridge from London Liverpool Street and London King's Cross / London St Pancras. (London King's Cross and London St Pancras are opposite one another, either side of the road.)

Trains from airports and Eurostar terminals
The nearest airport to Cambridge is Stansted, and they are connected by regular direct trains. There are also train routes between Cambridge and the other London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton), although these are further and may require changing trains in London.
The Eurostar arrives at London St Pancras International. There are regular trains to Cambridge from London King's Cross (across the road from St Pancras).

By road
There are many coach routes to Cambridge, which generally terminate in the city centre; for example, National Express runs a coach service from Heathrow Airport. Coach tickets may be bought in advance (online or by phone), at the station, or from the driver (see here).
From the city centre, it is around a 30-minute walk to Homerton College. Alternatively, there are several buses from the city centre that stop opposite Homerton College, at the bus stop called Hills Road Sixth Form College. Bus tickets are bought from the bus driver on entering the bus, by either cash or contactless card.

The weather in July in Cambridge is very variable. The average temperature is generally around 14-21°C, although there is significant fluctuation (including a heatwave last year). It is therefore advisable to bring both suncream and a waterproof coat, and to check the weather forecast when packing.
