Bible Animal Journaling Club

About Us

We start off by saying hi and doing a fun icebreaker. Then, we open in prayer and take turns reading the surrounding scriptures of our topic animal. 

We read a few passages in the Bible that discuss a specific animal. For example, if we decided to go over eagles, then we'd look up and read Isaiah 40:31, Exodus 19:4, and other verses also mentioning the animal we're going over (with surrounding verses for context, so we don't misinterpret His Word). Although we majorly will be taking one meeting to discuss each animal, there may be some cases in which we'll spread the discussion of the animal into two weeks.

As for the journaling side of things, we take some time after reading to write/draw what stuck out to us, whether (going back to the eagle example) one person might draw a majestic eagle and another might write about what circumstances God used an eagle in His Word and if/how they relate from one passage to the next. Everyone will have an option to share their journaling for that meeting near the end if they choose.

Lastly, we love to end in prayer, giving time to share requests, and encourage one another in the Lord through our struggles.
