Egg Drop for Our Calvary Parents
Parents, do you want to try again and hopefully be more successful than you were back in your elementary days? Here is your opportunity. AND there are no limits to your projects OTHER THAN you may NOT use a drone to deliver your raw egg. HA! Got ya!
Mr. K
OK - Fine - maybe not FAMOUS but…. Egg drop competitions have been around for many decades in elementary schools. The general concept is that a student takes a raw egg, create a box to put the egg in, drop the egg from the highest point Mr. K can find, and see if the egg survives.
Calvary students in grades 3-8 are invited to participate, but Mr. K's 5th Grade Science Class students are REQUIRED to participate.
Calvary Lutheran School expects ALL students in grades 6-8 to participate in our annual Science Fair. Generally, this fair is scheduled for the first week in February of each year. To accomplish this goal, many class periods will be dedicated to helping students understand the various components of a successful project. While the ultimate project is the responsibility of the individual student, Mrs. Kunkel, Mrs. Liu, Mrs. Van, and Mr. Kletke are ready to help.
What follows are excellent resources for students to use as they work through their science fair project.
