About Me

A little about your child's teacher......

When I was very young, I somehow acquired a Psalty the Songbook album, and through Dear Psalty I learned about Jesus. Years later, a friend invited me to her junior high youth group, where I learned more and made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. He has remained my steadfast Rock, and my desire to serve Him is what led me into the field of teaching.

Having graduated with a BA in Urban Education, I began teaching in Harlem, NYC and eventually made my way to Philadelphia. In 2002 I received my Reading Specialist Certification and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. When the Lord blessed my husband and me with our first child, I began working from home as a private Reading Specialist and a writing tutor. I also volunteered at CCA doing writing workshops and reading tutoring until I joined the staff in 2014. I now have 3 children, and each of them calls CCA their second home.

I love my job! This building, our pastors, the amazing administrative team, my Jesus-loving coworkers, and your children make this a fabulous place to work.

K1 Has a full-time teacher's aide! Myriam Miszczanczuk (“Mrs. M.”) will be working alongside of us. Mrs. M. has a son in the CCA high school and a daughter who is a CCA Class of 2018 alum! Myriam has worked in the elementary for 9 years. We are both excited for what the Lord has in store for us this year!
