Poster presentations offer researchers a unique opportunity to disseminate their work findings. While formal paper presentations involve verbal sharing with large groups, poster presentations rely on visual impact to communicate with viewers more formally and individually. Researchers are requested to comply with the following rules:
Topics should be relevant to the theme of the conference.
Posters should be prepared in PORTRAIT format and in English only.
Poster displays will be limited to one side of a 4-foot by 8-foot tack board. The recommended poster size is 3 feet by 6.5 feet (36 inches by 78 inches).
Authors are instructed not to use A4 size papers for their poster presentation.
The contents of the poster and letters must be readable from a distance of 3 feet. Poster content should be divided into the following sections: Title, Authors, Affiliation, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and References.
It is recommended that you hand-carry your poster to the conference, using tubular packaging or a portfolio case. Costs associated with creating and shipping the poster display will be the responsibility of the authors. Velcro (easiest to use), pushpins or thumbtacks will be provided to mount your poster.
The name(s) of the author(s) should be written below the title in small letters.
Corresponding authors will be notified about the day, time, and venue for the display. The presenting author must be present during the display of the poster.
One author can present only one poster. The presenting author's name should be bold and marked with an asterisk along with the e-mail and should be registered for the Conference.
Abstracts not complying with any of the above conditions will not be accepted.
Posters should stimulate discussion, not give a long presentation. Therefore, keep text to a minimum, emphasize graphics, and make sure every item included in your poster is necessary.
Utilize handouts to supplement your poster.
Make sure ideas flow logically from one section to the next.
Use charts and graphs to illustrate data (avoid large tables of raw data).
Use high-resolution photographs (web images often will not work).
Do not use all capital letters.
Use colours to add emphasis and clarity.
Displayed materials should enhance the verbal presentation and discussion.
