The exam involves analysing unseen texts. Make sure you:
Read the text carefully.
Underline key words as you read the text.
Note the writers's view after reading the text.
You will need to show the following skills:
Write critically and clearly
Use quotes to back up your points
Analyse language, form and structure
Show you understand how context affects the text.
Do some creative writing to prepare for the exam.
Practise writing both fiction and non-fiction texts.
To get top marks, your writing needs to be interesting, accurate and well-organised.
