No, you have options. Here's a pros and cons list of your options.
You can share your screen from a browser (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) or from a Desktop window OR upload a PowerPoint File.
If you choose to upload a file to your Engageli Library, it can be a PDF or PowerPoint (PPT) file. Engageli will convert the PowerPoint file when it is uploaded. You may find uploading a PDF file to be a bit quicker.
Both PowerPoint files and Google Slides can be saved as PDFs.
If you want MORE PDF tools, or need to edit a PDF that you didn't create, TechRadar has recommendations for free programs and sites that can help.
Not at this point, but you can limit the chat so that messages can only be sent to staff. This has been a frequent request and you may want to add your voice to the Engageli Feature Request Page to let them know what features are important to you.

Quick polls allow instructors to quickly create and save polls for checks for understanding, icebreakers, etc. Quick polls can be single-choice, multiple-choice, or word cloud. Responses are saved in the Admin Portal and can be viewed in the class gallery.
Action tags allow the instructor to preplan and create clickable responses or answer fields in any presentation slide or document. Action tags can also be single-choice, multiple-choice, or word cloud. The action tags for the specific field can be reused. So, a word cloud action tag can be reused for any other word cloud question. Action tags also have different features and options in the Admin Portal.
