ABOUT ME

EDUCATION

I received my original Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration of Finance. Later on in life, I discovered teaching to be a strong passion. This simple fact sparked my desire to return to college to become an educator. While changing careers had its fair share of challenges, the rewards from having the opportunity to teach, inspire, and watch students grow have been forever life changing. I graduated from Montclair State University (go Red Hawks!) with a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching Students with Disabilities.

EXPERIENCE

2018-2019 will be my fourth year as a special education teacher in Califon. I have had the pleasure to work alongside many dedicated families and exceptional students. I am excited to continue to see our students' academic and social growth. Previously, I taught in the Randolph Public School District. Prior to that, I taught students ranging from first grade through high school with significant weaknesses in reading, comprehension, and writing at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes.

PERSONAL

One of the first things that you will find out about me, is that I am an ENORMOUS sports fan. I have been a die-hard New York Giants fan since I was a kid myself. I can also be found cheering for the Yankees, Devils, and Knicks (as long as the Giants aren't playing). Sports have been the core of many extremely valuable lessons I've learned throughout the years. Two central themes that I strive to encourage and instill in my students are the importance of teamwork and perseverance.
