The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are literate users of ideas and information.

To achieve this mission, the library media program:

• Supports student achievement of state standards.

• Provides an aligned instructional program referencing AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner and Idaho Content Standards.

• Strengthens teaching and learning through integration, collaboration and staff training.

• Empowers students to become readers, information users, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and lifelong learners.

• Stimulates and promotes the literacy of reading for both pleasure and information.

• Provides information centers for schools.

• Provides access to print and nonprint materials
