The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are literate users of ideas and information.
To achieve this mission, the library media program:
Supports student achievement of state standards.
Provides an aligned instructional program referencing AASL Standards for the 21st Century Learner and Idaho Content Standards.
Strengthens teaching and learning through integration, collaboration and staff training.
Empowers students to become readers, information users, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and lifelong learners.
Stimulates and promotes the literacy of reading for both pleasure and information.
Provides information centers for schools.
Provides access to print and nonprint materials
