TouchDev is a touch-based IDE focused on full application development and deployment. Researched in CogAI Lab, the idea originated as a need for alternative approaches to make coding and application development more accessible to a broader range of individuals on a broader range of devices. TouchDev is still under development. It is not just going to be a coding tool—but also a learning companion, a creative outlet, and a powerful development environment all rolled into one.

E-Graveyard is an innovative platform that enables users to interact with digital representations of deceased loved ones or inspirational figures. Users can create AI personalities by providing biographical details, personal anecdotes, and characteristic traits, and they can upload a picture to serve as a visual anchor for the AI. The platform employs a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture with a PostgreSQL vector database, allowing the AI to engage in meaningful conversations based on the information provided. To create a more personal and emotional connection, the AI's responses are delivered not only as text but also through a cloned voice.

AudioVision is an audio-based accessibility tool aimed at enhancing navigation and environmental awareness for visually impaired individuals. Researched as part of an assistive technology initiative, the idea originated from the need for a more inclusive way to experience the visual world through sound. AudioVision is still under development, but it will not just be an assistive tool—it will also serve as a daily companion, offering real-time object detection and audio translation to make mobility easier, safer, and more intuitive.

Find Yo Mates is a platform designed to help international students connect with travel companions arriving at the same airport within a similar time frame. In response to concerns raised during an online pre-departure session with Nepali students, many of whom expressed worries about the high cost of commuting from the airport to their accommodation, this tool was developed to provide a cost-saving solution.
By entering their landing time and airport, students can view others arriving at the same location within a default time radius of 4 hours, which can be adjusted up to 12 hours. This allows students to connect, share rides, and potentially save on transportation costs by splitting fares or opting for public transportation together.

Rate Professors is a platform where students can anonymously rate professors and officials, providing valuable feedback for their peers. When rating a professor, students can also share recommendations on how to succeed in the class.
To ensure a respectful environment, the platform includes profanity management. Although students must sign in using their Caldwell email, their responses remain anonymous. Guidelines prohibit inappropriate language, comments based on appearance, and tips for cheating. OpenAI's ChatGPT API is used to enforce these guidelines and validate student responses. Collaboration with authorities may be pursued to refine and strengthen these guidelines.
