TexQuest

Dear teachers,

As you create remote lessons for your students, I’d like to remind you that our district currently participates in TexQuest, digital resources that are partially funded for K-12 public and open-enrollment charter schools by the Texas State Legislature.

Resources for all content and grade levels are part of this package, including an encyclopedia in English and Spanish, articles from newspapers, magazines, professional journals, and reference books, videos, images, maps, and charts, and full text simultaneous access eBooks, as well as college and career preparation materials like practice tests and tutorials. Many of these resources can be searched by TEK, have features for accommodations like text to speech and translations, and can easily be shared with classes via persistent links or Google classroom.

A complete list of TexQuest resources, with contents and features for each is available at http://bit.ly/TQ. A slide show introducing the program is available at http://bit.ly/TQ-intro.

An easy way to access the resources is through the TexQuest Navigator at http://texquest.net. How-to videos for new users are linked at the top of the page in English and Spanish. Our district password is sandcrabs.

Username: j029901

Password: sandcrabs (password for EBSCO/Learning Express resources only is learn19!)

Because our district already participates in TexQuest, you will still be able to use lessons and links you create incorporating these resources when the COVID-19 crisis is over.

Please reach out if I can help you determine which resources are appropriate for your content and/or grade level. For more information and additional training resources, go to TexQuest.net. For technical assistance feel free to contact TexQuest@ESC20.info.
