The Sony Pictures Media Arts Program (SPMAP) is a free after-school animation program offered through a partnership between the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, the CalArts Community Arts Partnership and Sony Pictures Entertainment. This year, in alignment with the California State Arts Standards, this class will explore topics such as the principles of animation, animation history, comics, storyboarding, story development, character design, world building, stop motion, video creation, and much more! SPMAP is open for students ages 13-18 who have expressed an interest in art.  All supplies are provided.
