About Me

Hello Parents and Students,

My name is Carol Strampfer. I've called Room 304 here at Hillsdale my second home since 2005. I have a degree in Biology from Sonoma State University and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to becoming a teacher I was a busy stay at home mom of four who coached sports, counseled at camps, volunteered with the PTA as well as in my kids classes here in the Cajon Valley School District. So you might say that I've experience education from both sides of the coin. I think those experiences have helped me become a teacher that better understands both the parent and student perspective.

In addition to teaching, I love to watch a seed become a plant, and watch a plant grow flowers. I think it's miraculous. (Some would call that gardening) I also enjoy spending time with my husband who gives my life balance and joy. It goes without saying that my four kids are my heart and they always know how to make me laugh (and occasionally cry!).

My students are my second family and much like my children they are a part of me. I will do my best to make school a place that students want to be whether it's physical or virtual. Don't be afraid to share your concerns, needs, and especially your suggestions. We all need to support one another with encouragement and care to create a safe and positive learning environment for our students.

I can't wait to get to know all of you,

Mrs. Strampfer
