The CAIS Climate Self-Assessment provides an opportunity for a school to self-assess its climate adaptation and resiliency. The assessment tool has three parts of school data, essential questions and a rubric with sections on mitigation, adaptation and resiliency, teaching and learning, equity, and a special section for boarding schools. Several CAIS schools piloted the self assessment and provided feedback for this current version, and several climate -focused organizations provided review and input. Schools will find that the self-assessment can help identify areas for growth and development in their climate plans.
