The National Security Agency (NSA) has sponsored a program in Southern California for community development called the Inland Empire Cybersecurity Initiative (IECI pronounced "I see"). With this grant, the CSUSB cyber program is supporting paid cyber apprenticeships!
It all starts with the K-12 exploration phase targeting middle and high schools to identify talent and develop students through the start of this cybersecurity pipeline. A regional collaboration of schools, colleges, universities, businesses, and workforce development partners provide an abundance of resources to train and help our students realise the reachable opportunities in rewarding cyber careers.
The application period for the next apprenticeship cohort will be opening soon. Please be on the lookout for the upcoming information session(s) at CSUSB.
