The Cadott Middle and High School Counseling Team's Programming is designed to provide instruction to meet Wisconsin State Standards in a variety of areas to prepare students for success both in school and in their choice of pursuits after graduation.
The School Counseling Team uses a variety of methods to ensure all students have access to learning opportunities to meet these academic standards.
School Counselors spend time in classrooms providing Direct Instruction on Career Planning as well as Employability and Social/Life Skills
In addition to Classroom Lessons, all students have individual Academic and Career Planning Conferences to help them plan for the goals after school and choose programs and pathways that set them on the right path.
All students can also participate in college and industry field trips. They may also have opportunities to participate in grade and school-wide assemblies targeted at enhancing education.
In order to have a successful Middle and High School Experience, some students benefit from having additional supports. The Counseling Team identifies these students through data analysis, school staff referrals, family referrals, and student self-referrals.
Small groups of 6-8 students have opportunities to work together with School Counselors on a variety of topics.

School Counseling Services could never be effective in isolation.
We collaborate closely with other members of your student's school team to ensure they are having a healthy and successful school experience.
We consult with other educators, families, and community organizations to support student achievement.
We also work with families to connect them to school and community resources that can provide additional supports to students' academic success, mental health, and emotional well-being.
