ECSE at DBEMS

In our early childhood special education (ECSE) class at Donnie Bickham Elementary Middle School, we have one teacher, two paraprofessionals, and a maximum of 12 students. For more information about DBEMS, please check out the website here. 

I’m excited to tell you we will be using a communication system called Band. If you have not heard of it, it’s an awesome app which allows parents and teachers to communicate instantly (just like text messaging). It will also allow me to upload/share photos and updates about what your child is doing in class. No communication that is sent directly to you (or from you to me) can be seen by anyone else, so you do not have to worry about others seeing confidential information. I can share things with the entire class on the Post board or with individual parents in chats.

I am asking you to please use the Band app or email (jjmoore@caddoschools.org) to communicate with me. You can also call the school (318.364.1160) for emergencies or send notes in your child's folder. I do not “friend” parents on social media, but DBEMS does have its own Facebook page.
