ON STAGE DRESS REHEARSAL
Friday, June 12
At CDC, we have two unique "Dress Rehearsal" experiences: "In Class Tech Rehearsals" and "On-Stage Dress Rehearsals". Both are mandatory and play an important role in helping dancers feel prepared and comfortable on stage.
For the "On-Stage Dress Rehearsal" you will come to the Cascade Theatre on Friday, June 12 at your show's designated time block (see times below).
The On-Stage Dress Rehearsal allows students to become familiar with the theater and feel comfortable with their performance, costume(s), and being on stage. Lighting, music cues, entrances, exits, formations, and all other logistics are rehearsed so the students have the best experience possible on stage. Dancers arrive at the Cascade Theater at least 20 minutes before the start of their show's rehearsal time block and arrive performance ready (hair and makeup done with first costume on).
Show #1 On Stage Rehearsal Block: 8:00-10:45am
Show #2 On Stage Rehearsal Block: 10:45am-1:15pm
Show #3 On Stage Rehearsal Block: 2:00-4:30pm
Show #4 On Stage Rehearsal Block: 4:30-7:05pm
Each class routine is assigned a brief, scheduled time on stage to walk through formations, spacing, stage entrances/exits. Once all class routines are finished, we run the full show in performance order - complete with music, transitions, entrances/exits, costume changes, and finale - so dancers understand how everything comes together and are fully prepared for recital day!
Videotaping and photography are allowed at both In Class Tech and On-Stage Dress Rehearsal experiences, but not at the Spring Recital. We appreciate your cooperation with this. A professional videographer records the shows and a few weeks after the recital, you will receive a link to watch and download them. This is a part of the Performance Package you have purchased already. You get to sit back and enjoy the show to the fullest!
