Parent & Student Help Videos

Below are links to various Google Docs for common troubleshooting tips related to Chromebooks.

Updating a Chromebook - A good, all-around step to try when a website or application doesn't seem to be working correctly.

Performing Hard Reset - This is another easy resolution to try if a Chromebook seems to be running slow or doesn't seem to want to turn back on from a deep sleep. Can also resolve other issues, as it is similar to rebooting a traditional computer.

Checking the Microphone Quality - Checks to see if there is an issue with the internal microphone of a Chromebook by sampling a recording from the microphone.

Adjusting Microphone Volume - If your student is getting reports that their microphone is too loud, or has a lot of background noise, follow these steps to reduce the volume gain/boost of the microphone through the Chromebook itself.

Clearing the Chromebook Cache - A good troubleshooting step if a website isn't loading properly or isn't showing new content (ex., no new Google Classroom assignments).
