"Its one of the most important classes I’ve taken."
Class overview
Introduction to Oceanography is designed to help students engage with locally and globally important issues related to the ocean like sea level rise, coastal hazards, ocean resources, pollution, and loss of biodiversity from a scientific perspective. By the end of this course students should be able to communicate about these issues using scientific reasoning and visual methods such as graphs and charts, as well as reflect on their own personal relationship to the ocean.
"Everyone who lives here should take oceanography."
