TA27
This course is a hands-on lab, that creates the daytime Building/construction Crews for the sets, props, lights, costumes and paint of the TA 29 Semester Production. This course may be taken no more than four times, including in any combination with the following course(s): TA 29, 122, 75.
There are three sections of this course---
1 unit section that meets one day a week,
2 unit section that meets two days a week,
3 unit section that meets two days a week plus additional 52 hours time/responsibility to work backstage during the technical rehearsals and performances as a part of the running crew. The running crew positions include the following:
light board operator,
sound board operator,
projections operator,
set crew (moving scenery),
fly operator
props crew (coordinating props)
wardrobe/dresser
follow spot operator
These positions require evening and weekend class time with commitment to attend all called rehearsals and performances.

TA27-LS
This course starts later in the semester and Meets 8 weeks for 1 unit for a total of 52 hours. This course creates the evenings and weekends Backstage Running Crew for the TA 29 Semester Production. This course may be taken no more than four times, including in any combination with the following course(s): TA 29, 122, 75.
This class shoulders the responsibility to work backstage during the technical rehearsals and performances as a part of the running crew.
The running crew positions include the following:
light board operator,
sound board operator,
projections operator,
set crew (moving scenery),
fly operator
props crew (coordinating props)
wardrobe/dresser
follow spot operator
These positions require evening and weekend class time with commitment to attend all called rehearsals and performances.

TA527
This course is a repeatable hands-on lab, that creates the daytime Building/construction Crews for the sets, props, lights, costumes and paint of the TA 29 Semester Production.
This course is designed to mirror TA27 3 unit class section. It is a 0 unit 0 cost class that allows the student to further explore and develop skills in the many areas of backstage theatre. Students may spread their hours between daytime building/construction crews and evening rehearsal/performance running crews.

TA 427
This course is part of the Cabrillo College Technical Theatre Certificate Program. This course is similar to TA527 in that it is a repeatable hands-on lab, that creates the daytime Building/construction Crews for the sets, props, lights, costumes and paint of the TA 29 Semester Production.
This course is designed to mirror TA27 3 unit class section. It is a 0 unit 0 cost class that allows the student to further explore and develop skills in the many areas of backstage theatre.
Students interested in receiving a Technical Theatre Certificate are required to take this course to fullfill units. Students may spread their hours between daytime building/construction crews and evening rehearsal/performance running crews.
