The application process is different for each type of Dual Enrollment student. Find the option that describes you for directions on completing the application.

Dual Enrollment students must submit their consent form online before registering for classes. Consent forms are required to be submitted once for students in grades K-12. Adult students in a GED or high school completion program are required to submit consent forms once a year.
Etrieve Central is the system Cabrillo uses to receive and process forms. When you submit your consent form there, Cabrillo recieves it so we can approve you and grant clearance. Students can't register and will not receive Dual Enrollment tuition clearance without submitting their consent form.
We can’t accept emailed, faxed, or forms in person. Forms must be submitted through Cabrillo Etrive Central.

This video walks you through how to plan your classes in Student Planning, check your registration date and time, and complete your registration.
If a class shows as full, you may still be able to join the waitlist. Some classes allow students to add themselves to the waitlist through Student Planning.
Beginning with the first day of the semester/term, to enroll in a class, you
will require either an “add authorization” or an “add code” from your
instructor, even if you are already on a waitlist. Follow the guide to see your add authorization options
Some college classes require you to complete another course before you can enroll. These are called prerequisites. If you try to register for a class and see a message saying you do not meet the prerequisite, you will not be able to register until the requirement is met.
Cabrillo uses a login system called Okta for MyCabrillo, Etrive, and Canvas.
If this is a students first time loging into the system the will need to select Forgot Password to set up their account password.
Students will log in using their 7 digit Cabrillo student ID number & their password
This is NOT the same number as their CCCApply ID.
Student ID numbers are emailed to students within 3 business days of applying to Cabrillo. If you have not recieved your ID after 3 business days please contact the Admissions & Records department.
The Computer Technology Center (CTC) offers in person,email & Zoom support for students. Times and avaliblity vary, please see the CTC website for help desk information
Cabrillo encourages all students — including Dual Enrollment students — to complete the online orientation before registering for classes. Orientation is not required for the Dual Enrollment process, but it helps you understand what it means to be a college student, explore majors & careers, complete English & math placement and more!
Orientation at Cabrillo is not one size fits all. Your orientation can be one activity or several; you decide. Completing orientation activities will help you get started at Cabrillo!
Cabrillo uses Guided Placement to help you decide which format of math, English, or English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are best for you to meet your needs. Students will fill out a Placement eForm where they provide information about courses completed & your GPA. Placement Services will provide you with course information so that you can make the best choices to meet your academic goals.
Once you are officially registered, there are a few important things to help you start the semester!
Canvas is Cabrillo’s online learning system. Canvas is the system your instructors will use to communicate with you and manage your coursework. All fully online classes use Canvas. Many in-person classes also use Canvas to post important materials and assignments.
If you are unsure which course to take, how your classes apply to a major, or how they transfer to a university, you should meet with an
Academic Counselor.

Cabrillo offers free tutoring to support your success in college courses. Tutoring is available at the Aptos campus, Watsonville campus and online in a variety of subjects! Visit the websites below for information on tutoring services.

It's important for students to know when the semester starts, the dates by which they need to add or drop classes, and other important dates in the semester.
The Library can help students access their required textbooks for free! They also offer printing, study spaces, and more!
The Nourishment & Essential Supports Team (NEST) helps Cabrillo students access basic needs like food, housing resources, and other essential support services.

Answers to some of the most commonly asked Dual Enrollment student questions
Students are issued their student ID number 1-3 business days after applying to Cabrillo College. The student ID number is emailed to you in a welcome email from webreg@cabrillo.edu. If it has been longer than 3 business days, students can email webreg@cabrillo.edu with their full legal name and date of birth to request their student ID number.
Students can use the What's My Registration Date form in Etrive Central to find their registration date. If you do not see a date listed, you will be able to register during Open Registration. Dual Enrollment registration dates are established by Admissions and Records and are based on a system called registration ranking. Learn more about registration ranking here Admissions and Records Registration Ranking
Cabrillo assigns Dual Enrollment students a registration date and time. You can only register on or after that date and time. Once your registration window opens, you can register anytime after that. To check your registration date and time, you can use the Etrive Central form https://etcentral.cabrillo.edu/#/form/1163
Questions about registration ranking and registration dates should be directed to the Cabrillo Admissions and Records Department. Dual Enrollment does not assign or control registration dates.
The number of classes you can take depends on the type of Dual Enrollment program you are participating in.
Individual Dual Enrollment students may take up to 11 college units per semester.
Students participating in a College & Career Access Pathway (CCAP) program through their high school may take up to 15 college units per semester.
Most college classes are 3 to 4 units, so this usually means:
Individual Dual Enrollment: about 2–3 classes per semester
CCAP students: about 3–4 classes per semester
Tuition is covered for Dual Enrollment students up to a certain number of units per semester.
Individual Dual Enrollment students may take up to 11 college units per semester.
College & Career Access Pathway (CCAP) students may take up to 15 college units per semester.
Items such as textbooks, materials, school supplies, parking permits, and transportation costs are not covered.
CCAP courses are part of a structured pathway offered through a high school partnership. Individual Dual Enrollment allows students to enroll independently in eligible Cabrillo courses.
All college courses are recorded on your official college transcript. If you want to use college courses on your high school transcript or for high school credit you will need to send your transcript to your school. Cabrillo does not automatically send transcripts to a students high school.
