Attendance & punctuality
Scholl begins at 8.50am
95% attendance target for year 12
If a pupil is genuinely ill, school should be informed on day of absence via phone or a note provided on day of return.
Where possible, medical appointments to be made outside of school time
Work Ethic
Academic Expectations – At least 2 hours study outside of school hours – an increase from Year 11.
GCSE Subjects – Heavy Workload – more expected.
OCN Subjects – Majority of work completed in class in a controlled environment so good attendance is essential.
Self-Evaluating School – Pupils should review work done and attempt to build upon feedback from teachers.
Organisation
For school each day you need...
A school bag (correct books/homework’s)
A pencil case (pens, pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener, colours, calculator)
Homework diary

A bottle of water/break/lunch
Your son must attend school for the sessions that apply to his academic pathway and use all other times for study sessions at home or in school.
Your son must attend school in full uniform each day with study materials required.
