JANUARY NEWSLETTER
JANUARY NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we begin 2026, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the staff to thank you all for your support and generosity over the Christmas Season. We are sincerely grateful for all the lovely gifts received and we hope that your Christmas was restful and that you enjoyed our Carol Services in December!
Please take some time to read the following information below and take note of our planned events for the remainder of this half term. Thank you.
After Schools Clubs (Up to 5th February)
Breakfast Club continues each morning from 8.00 - 8.30am at a cost of £2.50 per child. (Booking can be made on Parent Pay for this). If you wish for your child to stay behind for the 2-5 clubs, the cost is £4 per hour.
All bookings should be made via Parent Pay App by 1pm each day.
(This allows the school enough time to print a list of all pupils who are staying after 3pm so the teachers and support staff know which pupils are supposed to go home as normal on the bus or by car).
Any last minute requests/bookings (after 1pm) must be made by phone, as emails may not be read or distributed in time. For that reason, we would ask that you make every effort to have your children booked into after schools clubs before 1pm.
The following After School / Extra Curricular activities commence next week and will run until the 6th February. Bookings can be made via Parent Pay (although some clubs are already at full capacity).
PRIMARY 1 & RECEPTION APPLICATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 2026
Thanks to everyone who attended our recent Open Morning in December. It was lovely to meet your children and welcome them into our school. Just a reminder that applications for Reception and Primary 1 should be made via the EA Connect Portal between 7th-21st January.

HEALTH AND SAFETY AT SCHOOL
As a School Community we have a collective responsibility to ensure all our children are safe when entering and leaving school and to be mindful of younger pupils especially.
It is also important to respect the properties of homeowners living beside the school by not parking across their driveway or driving on their grass verges.
Thank you for your cooperation.
SCHOOL PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS
The Primary 7 pupils completed their Shared Education Project with Killylea Primary School last term. The Primary 2 pupils will link with Killylea this term to take part in joint Literacy Lessons commencing with a trip to Happy Dayz in Ballygawley on 14th January. Internet Safety Training Workshops will be hosted at the end of January for pupils in Primary 5,6&7 to make them aware of online dangers.
