Lurgan College Rugby Club is situated in the town of Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. Rugby pitches are situated on the schools grounds (Medallion XV pitch) with Senior pitches (1XV and 2XV) located across the road within our sporting complex.
Lurgan College Rugby Club aims to develop young men through the sport of rugby and foster a love for the game. We aim to develop lifelong participants by teaching our pupils how to play the game with an emphasis on fun alongside developing their individual characteristics including respect, diligence, humility and patience.
Our teachers and coaches are passionate about giving our players a rugby experience that will provide long-lasting memories through particular emphasis on teamwork, belonging and a cohesive environment. The school's motto 'Meliora Sequor', meaning 'To Follow Better Things', is one the rugby club endeavours to embody in every day, whether that be in the gym, the pitch or around the school environment.
The season 2021-22 consisted of a rugby vision, with the word 'Wholehearted' becoming the epitome of all we do. This is a word which helps set our standards and is tied into our school's motto, 'Meliora Sequor'.
The College's rugby facilities include:
Three excellent pitches (one at the school and two at the sports pavilion across the road).
Fitness suite at the school site.
VEO2 Video Camera.
Video Analysis sessions.
