The following photos were taken with mobile phones and shared on social media by various individuals. To preserve your memories in as high a quality as possible, we would love to produce high-quality digital scans of the originals of these and any others that come to light. If you can help, please see the submission guidelines underneath.
Special thanks to those who have submitted photos, either physically or digitally: Cyril McConnell, Rosemary Campbell, Michella Southam, Dean.
Ideally, we would love to scan it using our flatbed scanner. This produces a result superior to any phone camera, maintaining terrific detail even when photos are zoomed in. If you live locally, perhaps you could arrange to drop by with your photo; email us to arrange a date and time (see bottom). If you live further afield, you could send your photo by post to the school address (no glass frames, please; we would have to remove the photo to scan it anyway). We promise to treat your photo with the utmost care and return it promptly.

If you would prefer not to supply your physical photo, here are some tips for producing a fair digital reproduction using a mobile phone camera:
If the photo is framed behind glass, remove it to avoid catching reflections.
Take the photo in natural daylight rather than indoor artifical light. Outdoors is best.
Hold your phone to match the orientation of your photo (usually sideways).
Keep the complete photo in view, right to the edges. Don't worry about getting a little extra, as this can be trimmed later.
Ensure all four edges of the photo are as straight as possible in view.
Watch out for the shadow of your phone falling over the picture.
If you only have a low-quality digital photo in your possession, please send it anyway, with details of the school year.
We're also looking out for the annual school magazine, the Edenderry Star. We have some issues on the site, but undoubtedly there were more published than the few we stumbled across. You never know what you might find at the bottom of a cupboard or up in the attic. Don't dispose of these treasures. Send them our way instead.
