Don't miss C2E's STEAM segment on Channel 2!

C2E had an exciting visitor this week, thanks to C2E parent Mr. Cruz. Meteorologist Chris Tomer, along with our own Mrs. Julie Stewart, collaborated to bring a fun summer STEAM activity to life. Don't miss this segment airing on Friday, May 24th, and Monday, May 27th, between 9-10 AM on Channel 2! The link will also be shared with families after the broadcast.

While on site, students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade also had the opportunity to check out all the gadgets and sounds from The Weather Beast truck.

Thank you Mr. Cruz for making this all possible!

Registration is Now Open for Summer Running and Basketball Camps at C2E!

Registration is now open to all rising 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students for C2E's Summer Running and Basketball Camps.  Spots are limited, register at www.myschoolbucks.com by May 24th!  Camp cost: $225.  *A sports physical must be on file with Mr. Peters before participating.  If you have submitted a sports physical during the 23-24 school year, you do not need to submit another one.

Keep Your Driveline Tags!

As we look ahead to the 24-25 school year, we kindly ask you to hold onto your current driveline tags.  These tags will be reused next school year, helping us maintain our traffic flow and ensure a seamless transition when we welcome everyone back in the fall. New siblings of current families will receive the same driveline number as their siblings. Your child’s driveline number will not change next year, so if you need a replacement tag, please contact the front office before May 23rd.

C2E's Summer Reading Challenge is back!

Get ready to dive into a world of adventure with C2E’s exciting Summer Reading Challenge! From May 28th to August 12th, we’re inviting all students to join us in a literary journey that will spark imagination and ignite a passion for reading.

There's no limit to the number of books you can submit, so encourage your child to explore new worlds and adventures through reading.

Participation is easy. Simply click on the reading challenge form corresponding to the grade level your student will be entering for the 2024-2025 school year:

Not sure what to read or when to squeeze in some reading time? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Check out these fun wheels for some inspiration:

Let’s make this summer a memorable one filled with adventures between the pages. We can’t wait to see all the amazing stories you’ll discover!  As an additional perk, the grade level that reads the highest number of books will be rewarded with a popsicle party!  Additionally, students will earn dress down days upon achieving the following goals: 1,000 books for K-2, 600 books for 3-5, and 150 books for middle school.

Happy reading!

Exciting News: C2E is Expanding!

We are excited to announce that Challenge to Excellence will be expanding to add 12 classrooms in a two-story addition, consolidating all classrooms under one roof and eliminating our mobile buildings. The expansion will allow us to have a dedicated art room, and dedicated music room. Additionally, we will be adding a Middle School Cafeteria/flex space; allowing us to provide a communal learning space for study hall, small group instruction and dedicated middle school lunch space.

But that's not all! We'll also be able to accommodate an additional 125 students, making our school even more inclusive and vibrant.

Now, you might be wondering when all of this will take place. We have a clear timeline in mind. This summer, we plan to relocate the mobile buildings to the blacktop, paving the way for groundbreaking at their current location. Our goal is to have the expansion completed and ready for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

In addition to this, I'm delighted to announce the launch of our Capital Campaign this summer, titled "Dream Bigger, Achieve More: Expanding Excellence at Challenge to Excellence Charter School." This campaign will play a crucial role in raising funds for the new addition and ensuring the success of this transformative project. More information about the Capital Campaign will be shared in the months to come, and we encourage your participation and support.

We're confident that these expansion plans will significantly enhance the learning environment and overall experience for our students, faculty, and community members. Your ongoing support and enthusiasm are vital as we embark on this journey of growth and progress. Attached, you'll find a conceptual drawing of our expansion plans. Please stay tuned for further updates and details regarding the expansion and Capital Campaign. Together, we'll continue to uphold the excellence that defines our school.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to Challenge to Excellence.
