Music class is designed for students to experience, learn and grow in areas they may not know they enjoy yet! Not all students will connect with music equally; however, all students are expected to participate fully. Through singing, games, instruments, and movement students will learn musical vocabulary, literacy, and most importantly - the power of listening. See below for how behavior challenges are managed at C2E in Special Classes.
Classroom Behavior Policies
Special classes use C2E’s behavior matrix for any situations that come up in the classroom. If a student is having a challenging day, we will follow the following steps:
Give the student a gentle reminder/redirection
Repeated offense: email home within 24 hours of the situation.
Third offense: Schedule a parent meeting
*Behavior challenges usually mean students are unable to participate in class fully. This will reflect in their grade. All learning plans are followed and honored in all special classes with appropriate accomodations.
