Music class is designed for students to experience, learn and grow in areas they may not know they enjoy yet! Not all students will connect with music equally; however, all students are expected to participate fully. Through singing, games, instruments, and movement students will learn musical vocabulary, literacy, and most importantly - the power of listening. Below are the listed expectations for students in music class.
100% Participation in Music Class
Students are actively engaged in all music activities, including singing, games, group work, and instrument use.
Students respect instruments and materials by using them properly and with care.
Students listen attentively, follow directions, and avoid unhelpful side conversations.
Students work as a team, stay on task, and contribute to the success of the class.
Students that do not participate 100% will miss out on classwork and assessment material, which in turn will affect their grade.
