I grew up on my family’s cattle ranch in the wide-open spaces of Idaho, where hard work was a part of everyday life. After high school, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Human Development, which sparked my interest in how people grow and learn, something that would come full circle later in life.
I’m a mom to six amazing kids, ranging in age from 22 to 11. When they were younger, I absolutely loved volunteering in their classrooms, and it was often the highlight of my days. As a family, we’re all about Disney adventures, camping trips, and taking care of our very full house of pets: two dogs, two cats, and two birds.
I began substitute teaching during the COVID pandemic, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I’d found my calling. I went back to school and earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. After five years of both short- and long-term substitute teaching, I’m thrilled to now have a classroom of my own, teaching second grade here at C2E, where four of my six children have attended school.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me playing the piano, gardening, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or cheering on my kids as they find their passions. I can’t wait for the year ahead and all the learning, laughter, and growth that comes with it.
