Math Enrichment Lab

My decision to become a teacher is firmly based on a true love and respect for children.  I believe that each child is a unique individual who is capable of learning.  My passion is helping students struggling in math find success by making math more meaningful and easier to understand.  I am excited for the opportunity to teach the math enrichment elective.  I aim to help build confidence in each student and have them show mastery of critical math standards to ensure their success in future math courses!

We will be using the Manuvering Math Intervention program in this class.  Students will need a math quad spiral notebook, pencils, pens, a calculator, and a chrombook daily.  The class will include:

-a daily number sense routine

-small group instruction

-digital activities

-diagnostic assessments (pre and post testing assessments will be used for tracking growth)

-Fridays will be used to get support with what they are doing in their regular math class.  They can bring test corrections, homework assignments or anything they need support with completing. 

Letter Grades will be given in this elective for the 2023-2024 school year.
