Career Technical Education (CTE) Pathways equip students with academic and technical skills, ensuring they are ready for college and careers upon high school graduation. Students acquire adaptable professional skills aligned with the CTE Model Curriculum and Academic Standards through work-based learning. Courses are designed sequentially, allowing students to progressively build on their knowledge, culminating in the advanced Capstone class. To finalize the pathway, students must complete Concentrator and Capstone courses.

CTE PATHWAYS AND COLLEGE ADMISSION
Career technical education (CTE) is a critical component of a broad and deep school curriculum that helps prepare all students to be career and college-ready.
CTE practitioners and experts concur that the discipline provides relevance and actual world content for academic studies while promoting teamwork and cooperative learning.
It also encourages students to see a high school diploma and readiness for college or other postsecondary studies as a foundation for the future rather than as an end in and of itself.
