Model United Nations

Theme: Build it back better…

2021-2022

Why should I participate in Model United Nations?

You posses a strong sense of duty.

You enjoy involving yourself in action oriented solutions.

You care about the future of the world’s environment and people.

You are willing to learn the necessary historic, economic, and geographic facts to grasp the totality of complex issues facing the world.

You want to go to Chicago to debate possible solutions to these problems with students from all over the U.S.

You want to do something that matters and shapes who you are.

You enjoy touring one of America’s great cities.

How do I participate in Model U.N.?

Students that want to be part of the Model U.N. need to attend meetings.

The purpose of meetings is to familiarize students with certain important world events and issues.

The workings of the United Nations provide the structure and focus for the club.

Participation in the conference in Chicago culminates efforts by the participants.

How do I become a member of the Chicago team?

A team of 18-24 students will be formed based on the expectations of the advisors.

The expectations are the following:

1. Attend meetings

2. Participate in meetings

3. Participate in the discussion board

4. Complete the required position paper

5. Participate in model UN related activities (Cub bagging, fundraising, or other activities)

Team Rules

1. The minimum GPA-(cumulative 2.25, term-2.5)

2. No usage of tobacco, alcohol, or illegal drugs

3. Respect of all school rules

4. Minimal discipline issues at the school

5. Respect to all advisors and to each other

How much time does all this take?
