Dr. Beverly Kuhn brings over 35 years of national expertise in transportation research, specializing in transportation systems management and operations (TSMO) for clients at the national, state, and local levels. Based in Texas, Dr. Kuhn's research spans diverse topics such as freeway operations, managed lanes, active transportation management, and human factors. 

Through her career, Dr. Kuhn remains dedicated to conducting practical research that enhances transportation safety and efficiency, emphasizing rigorous evaluation to inform infrastructure investments nationwide.  She has extensive experience developing capability assessment frameworks for organizations and business functions within transportation along with the development of online assessment tools and related outreach for their use by agency personnel. 

Dr. Kuhn is an International Past President of ITE and a former chair of the Freeway Operations Committee and the User Information Systems Committee for the Transportation Research Board (TRB). Currently, she serves on the National Academies Research and Technology Coordinating Committee for TRB and serves on the technical advisory committee for the National Operations Center of Excellence.
