Profile of a Graduate

Profile Of A Graduate

Our students come to us with a unique set of needs, skills, passions, and talents and will leave us to live in a global economy. In these complex environments, mastery of core knowledge alone will not drive their success. Our students will also need to be provided with deep relevant learning experiences that develop 21st-century skills and dispositions to ensure they are college, career, and life ready.

Our vision of education is to build a community of learners committed to making the world a better place. Beginning with the end in mind, the Byron Profile of a Graduate is a guide for all of our students and stakeholders from preschool to 12th grade. We will work to tailor an education that is both meaningful and relevant to each child and value their voice in the development of their education. We strive for our students to master core content while providing all students with experiences to be innovators, global independent thinkers, problems solvers, and community-minded leaders who make a difference in the world we live in.

Byron graduates are self-directed learners who are equipped with reflection skills to enable them to:

  • Connect new information and knowledge with ideas and experiences to deepen learning.
  • Evaluate their performance, learn from their experiences to revise future work or improve learning strategies.

The Profile of a Graduate assists our learning community in providing all students the opportunities and experiences to develop each aspect of the profile to his or her fullest potential.
