Ms. Feldman

Welcome to Developmental adapted physical education (DAPE)

What is 'DAPE' exactly?

DAPE is an acronym for Developmental Adapted Physical Education. It is a special education service that includes instruction in physical and motor fitness; fundamental motor skills and patterns; and skills in aquatics, dance, and individual, group and team games and sports. This instruction and programming supports the regular physical education (PE) curriculum.

DAPE is PE which has been adapted or modified, so that it is as appropriate for the person with a disability as it is for a person without a disability. Basically, I help students learn and practice the skills that are necessary to be safe and successful in PE!

My Bio

A little more about me...

I am originally from the great state of Wisconsin where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education Teaching from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my Master's Degree in DAPE from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. In my free time, I like to be outside as much as possible. My favorite hobbies include trout fishing, hunting, and spending time with my friends and family.

I am so excited to be teaching DAPE for Byron Public Schools. We have a great team here and I am so happy to be a part of it!
