About me...

My name is Kaija Staley and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! My goal is to provide a safe, positive, calm and respectful classroom of learners who can be themselves, grow, explore, work as a team, laugh and have fun!

This is my third year teaching kindergarten at Byron and I love it! I have been a teacher off and on since 1998 and have taught in Florida, Oregon and Colorado. Though I mainly taught first grade, I was a kindergarten paraprofessional for over two years in Colorado. I moved to Minnesota from Colorado in December of 2018 to live near family. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my sister, running, hiking, being outside, doing crafts, reading and baking. My best buddy is my senior rescue dog Kimchi...the students will hear a lot about him!
