Welcome to 6th grade Physical Education and Transitions! I have be fortunate enough to be a part of the wonderful Byron School District since the 2016 school year! I have been even more fortunate to teach Physical Education and Transitions since the 2017 school year.
I teach Health and Physical education because I believe that it is important, especially in today’s “fast food” society. Both areas go so far beyond just the classroom, students are able to apply what they learn to real-life situations. A teacher once told me that most subjects teach you a lesson and give you a test whereas Health and Physical education give you a test that teaches a lesson. It is an interesting aspect that some people don’t think about.
If you would like to donate to our classroom below is my Amazon wishlist!

Meet Mrs. Kasper!
My Bio
Hello! My name is Maison Kasper, I teach 6th grade PE and Transitions. I grew up in Blooming Prairie and attended Hayfield Schools. When I graduated High School I attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN, where I graduated with a major in Health and Physical Education and a minor in Coaching. I have 2 wonderful parents who always pushed me to do and be my best. I have 3 brothers who attended Carleton College. I now live in Rochester with my husband Anthony, my son Tripp, and my little puppy Juniper.
A teacher once told me that all students are awesome, and once you find what makes them awesome, that’s when you realize how awesome your job is. This was my first in-class experience, and this teacher had an immense impact on my desire to become an educator. When I was in school I faced adversity with teachers who I felt had no desire to teach. They seemed to hate their jobs and cared even less if their students succeeded. It wasn’t until after I graduated and was placed into other schools that I saw the pure joy that most educators feel.
Please feel free to email me with any questions!
If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.
