Now with the COVID-19 pandemic this day refers to a school day where instead of coming to a school, teachers and students communicate online or set up prior learning expectations, and the students continue their learning from home. On an FLD, teachers will share assignments and hold office hours in which they are available to provide learning support to students.

During our Flex Learning time, your child's teacher may offer "live" Webinar sessions using Google Meet. This will be a chance for your child to connect with the teacher, ask questions and see classmates. We see this as a valuable tool to allow your child and teacher the ability to maintain their relationship and enhance learning.
The teacher will record the sessions and post to their class platform (Moodle, Google Classroom, or SeeSaw) so that if a student in the class cannot attend the session, students could view it at a later time.
For students with district-issued iPads, they will need to download the app from Self Service and login with their Byron email. Need help? Here is a short video demo!
