2026 Design Studio Community Project

Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, The Grove outdoor classroom and patio project reached a major milestone—raising $10,000 total to bring this student-designed vision to life!

Phase 1 Complete: Patio Up & Running

• Operational Space: The physical patio area is officially constructed and functional as a new outdoor hub on campus.

• Bear Grove Home Base: The student-run restaurant now has a dedicated outdoor footprint to host events and serve custom student products like hot dogs and warm cookies.

• Community-Funded Foundation: Reached our initial $10,000 goal through student product sales, showcase events, and local support.

Phase 2 Ahead: Classroom Expansion & The Legacy Tree As work continues this school year, our focus shifts to launching our donor campaign and expanding the patio's capacity for full-sized classes:

• The Legacy Tree Launch: Building and installing the Legacy Tree to permanently recognize corporate partners, families, and community donors across our four sponsorship tiers.

• Expanded Seating: Purchasing additional durable picnic tables so entire classes can learn outside comfortably.

• Shade & Weather Protection: Installing large patio umbrellas to keep students cool and protected during outdoor lessons.

• Student Leadership: 8th-grade Design Studio students will continue leading the planning, budgeting, and outreach for Phase 2 execution.
