You need to fill this out and give it to anyone that you request a recommendation letter from. It greatly helps them in writing a personalized letter and is the professional thing to do. Make sure to give them enough time to write it for you.
Complete all 6 steps within your College Board account for the opportunity to win $40,000 - however the completion of each step also gets you entered in to a scholarship drawing! This program is open to students regardless of their family income. At least half of all the scholarships (over $2 million) will be designated for students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year.

Criteria - For students that are attending or have graduated from a high school in Shiawassee County. These scholarships are for students planning on attending a 2-yr, 4-yr or trades school in Fall 2026.
You must provide TWO letters of recommendation when you apply. You must also request a transcript on Parchment to be sent to them.
This application allows you to be considered for multiple scholarships.

20 scholarships of $1,000 each
Must be a high school senior that has been enrolled in a CTE program (Byron programs = Mechatronics, Agri-Science or any programs at the CCRC/GCI
Must be enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year college, technical school or other technical institute in the next 12 months
Applicants must have a 3.0 minimum GPA and live in Genesee or Shiawassee Counties
Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in engineering or the sciences
IMPORTANT - The post office recently changed their postmark guidelines. You should plan on mailing this a few days BEFORE the deadline of March 31.
15 scholarships of $3,500 will be awarded

employees who are also full-time students, who have been employed at a member business as of 1/1/25
