Welcome back after our longer than usual May half term break. With only 6 weeks left of this academic year, we've got many fun activities and learning booked in.
The Summer 1 term ended with a bang with our wonderful VE Day themed annual family picnic. We were lucky to have the Woking Mayor, Mayor Boote here with us to celebrate.
Year 5's enjoyed their away day at Fullbrook Secondary this week. We had feedback to say how brilliant their behaviour was - well done!
Today officially kick starts our Art Week, with Year 5/6 visiting The Sculpture Park in Churt. The rest of the school will visit on Monday/Tuesday and use this inspiration to create some art work of their own during Art Week. We look forward to welcoming you to our BPS Art Gallery on Friday 27th June from 2pm onwards. The Friends of BPS will have a Zettle on hand to collect £1 entry fees. See flier below.
It was wonderful to welcome our new Reception 2025/26 families and children into BPS yesterday for their first induction day.
Mr Bowman hosted two local Headteachers at BPS this week, to plan some collaborative work with them to work towards the Arts Mark. We look forward to working with these school in the coming years to further enrich our curriculum for our children.
In week 4, the children will be having their 'Meet the Teacher' day on Wednesday 2nd July. We will send out details of staffing in the coming days.
Staff have offered up their time to ensure their are clubs for our children. We only have 4 children in our KS 2 Netball Club on Tuesdays. It would be great if more children could join the team as we currently do not have enough children to play a netball match. Please sign your child up to help us out!
If you are interested in hiring our school hall, a classroom, our outdoor hive or swimming pool (summer term only for the pool) for an event you may have in mind, don't hesitate to speak to Mrs Scott in the office who will be able to share our pricing details.
