Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is lucky enough to have access to our Mobile Clinic, which travels around Western North Carolina spaying and neutering companion animals every week. We also have some of our pets altered at the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance in West Asheville. These schedules vary from week to week. The Foster Team will contact you when your foster pet is scheduled for surgery. You will also receive an automated email notification in the days before your pet's surgery.
All animals (dogs, cats, rabbits) must be altered before adoption.
Any adult animal that comes into our care must be altered.
Our puppies and kittens are altered if they have reached 2 months of age and weigh at least 2.2 pounds.
Once your foster pet fit the requirements for alter, Brother Wolf staff will schedule their surgery appointment. We will contact you to bring them in. The day before their surgery, you will drop them off at the Brother Wolf Animal Rescue Adoption Center within your drop-off time frame.
If your foster pet is scheduled for surgery but is still too small, let us know! We'll move the date to the following week.
You will drop your foster pet off at the adoption center the night before their spay/neuter surgery. Our surgeries start early and MUST start on-time, so it helps our surgeon if the pets are on-site the morning of surgery.
The foster team will let you know if your foster pet will need to be picked up after their surgery. Sometimes, they will stay at the adoption center for adoption after their surgeries.
