MEET CAROL

l began my career in education teaching middle school math, science and K-8 technology in 2005. Prior to pursuing my teaching credential, I studied Biology at UC Berkeley and Soil Science at Cornell University. While soil science may not sound exciting to everyone, studying soils and sustainable agriculture in the Brazilian Amazon allowed for plenty of adventures, including learning Portuguese and spotting anacondas.

I love learning with my students, showing them how different skills connect to their lives students and teaching them to be risk takers in their learning. STEAM provides an opportunity for me and my students to apply a variety of skills and interests in a collaborative setting.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy swimming, skiing, tennis, baking, gardening, tinkering, and reading, especially when accompanied by my husband and two daughters.
