Home Reading Program

Reading at home is an important part of Kindergarten. We use book buddy bags (or B.E.A.R. bags) to allow students to bring leveled books back and forth between school and home. In the bag is also a journal, for students to write and draw about the stories they have read. This is a great opportunity for nightly reading routines at home, and gives children more practice with reading and responding to literature.
