Hello Everyone:
We live in interesting times. First and foremost, I hope you and your family are doing well. I miss seeing you face to face. Now that we are here, I want to assure you that we will get through this school year together.
There is currently no academic expectation of you until the morning of March 30th. However the below information will help you start thinking of expectations and platforms to be used after spring break.
First, we will be changing online platforms over to Schoology. Please visit the site there (see below for course codes if you need them). I will be posting materials online (videos, PowerPoints, and handouts) with a class schedule and due dates.
For Physical Science: I do understand that not everyone has access to printers and certain technology. As a back-up, hard-copy materials have already been copied and stuffed into envelopes. They will be sent out next week and you will receive them before March 30th.
Additionally, it may be a good idea to download “Google Hang out” onto your devices for video conferencing options. It is unclear if classes will be taught with these platforms, but they are a great tool to talk in smaller groups and provide an online forum for me to answer questions during set times.
Please stay tuned, for I am still building and developing these platforms to fit the needs of the class. In the meantime, please take care of yourself and we will connect on March 30th. Be sure to check the class Schoology page on Sunday March 29th for clear instructions regarding our online kick-off Monday March 30th.
Take care!
Ms. Ducey

I am Ms. Ducey, I have a passion for all sciences and sharing my love of learning with others. I was born in Boulder and attended CU to study Integrative Physiology and receive my teaching license. While at CU, I served as a resident advisor, a teaching assistant for Nutrition and Health Performances, as well as an undergraduate research assistant in the endocrinology laboratory. In addition to science, I have deep roots in theatre which include acting, singing, and directing many local productions.
It is very rewarding to be part of the Boulder High School community where I teach the best students around and work with the finest teachers.
Please use this website as a reference for material for my courses and feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
