I found a few things out during this experiment:
I would be a terrible GM as my team that I hand-picked performed the worst out of all three of the teams...
Walks are less important than getting hits and getting runners around the bases as the RP (runs produced) team performed better than the RP+BB team (runs produced plus walks).
While this was not a perfect simulator and test, it can give us as the baseball community a better understanding of the moneyball strategy.
Below is my simulator and all my results. Again, if you want to conduct your own moneyball investigation, make a copy of my simulator and data base sheet and test what ever stats you can come up with or think of!
