Tri-M is the National Honor Society for Music. Participation in Tri-M opens up a world of opportunities for students who have already shown themselves to be academically capable and musically gifted. Through performance and community service, you'll develop confidence, creativity, critical thinking, compassion, and a host of other leadership skills sure to serve you well in school and beyond.
Candidates must have been enrolled in a school-sponsored music ensemble and/or class for at least one semester of the current school year.
Candidates must have maintained for the previous semester at least a A average grade or equivalent in music, with at least a B average grade or equivalent in other academic subjects. Local chapters may make exceptions to these requirements at the discretion of the chapter advisor with school principal’s approval.
Candidates must demonstrates respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
Candidates must be actively committed to service projects and activities that benefit others and organizations
Demonstrate musical leadership and leadership in character in their school and community
