⚾️ Rockies Game ⚾️
2025-26 Update
If things go according to plan, I will be on paternity leave this spring and will not be able to take LES to a Rockies game. I expect us to participate again next school year!
2024-25 Info
LES 4th and 5th graders, along with singers from Coal Creek, Superior, Douglas, and Heatherwood Elementary Schools, are singing the national anthem at a Colorado Rockies baseball game! While only 4th and 5th grades are invited to sing on the field, the whole LES community is invited to the game!
Colorado Rockies vs. Cincinnati Reds
Sunday, April 27th, 2025
Report Time: 12p (game starts at 1:10p)
Report Location: Coors Field, Gate E Ramps, inside the ballpark
Please read carefully!
Performing on the field is only for 4th and 5th graders. It is optional. It is only for students who want to do it.
We are limited to 50 participants. If more kids than that sign up, we will randomly select participants via a lottery, and unfortunately not everyone will be able to participate. Priority will go to 5th graders. If more than 50 5th graders sign up, the lottery will only include 5th graders. If fewer than 50 5th graders sign up, all 5th graders will be invited, and we will randomly select 4th graders to fill the remaining slots.
Students do not have to be in choir to participate. We will practice performing the national anthem in class. Any students unable to meet the behavior expectations during rehearsal will not be allowed to perform.
Everyone entering the ballpark will need a ticket. Tickets start at $15 per person. A portion of the proceeds goes to Impact on Education. If the cost is a barrier, please email me! I want to help your kids!
Families are responsible for getting themselves to the drop off location, inside the ballpark. After we perform, families will pick up their kids at the same location. Then enjoy the game!
The deadline to submit the sign up form is April 7 at 2:45p. That afternoon we will do a lottery if necessary, and I will email everyone the results and next steps!
Email Mr. B with any questions!

Game Day
Sunday, April 27th, 2025
Report Time: 12p (game starts at 1:10p)
Report Location: Coors Field, Gate E Ramps, inside the ballpark
Wear dark, full-length bottoms (no shorts, capris). After drop off, singers will be given a Rockies t-shirt to wear for the performance and to keep. You are welcome to bring clothes to change into after.
The Rockies provided this logistics document with their bag and food policies, when parking and gates open, and more info.
We recommend entering through Gate E since the drop off location is right there, but it is not required.
If you take the light rail to Union Station, it's a short walk to the Gate E entrance.
Buy Parking Pass - This is optional, but another participating music teacher says: "I HIGHLY advise buying a parking pass as it is super hard to find parking outside of the Rockies parking lot."
Please allow plenty of time to park and get inside the ballpark. Expect heavy traffic and long lines at gates!
After being dropped off, singers will not be able to leave to use the bathroom.
Singers should not have any extra stuff including hats, sunglasses, coats, bags, and water bottles. They are not allowed for the performance, and we will not have a space to store them.
After we perform, pick up your child from the Gate E Ramps (where you dropped them off), and you are free to enjoy the game!
