The Big Idea: All living things have body parts and behaviors called adaptations that help them survive in their habitats.
The Variation & Adaptation unit is literacy based. Students will read grade-level scientific texts to stimulate their scientific thinking. They will be doing research on a particular animal and its specific variations and how it is adapted to its environment to survive. Students will then create a Google Slide Mystery Animal presentation to share their knowledge with other classmates.
