 I am so excited to join the 4th grade team at Fireside! I am from the Chicago area and am finally made the move that I wanted to make after so many years! After graduating from Arizona State, I taught 4th grade English and worked for a student travel company in Thailand for a year! I taught 3rd grade in the Chicago suburbs for 3 years before moving to the wonderful state of Colorado!

In my free time I love to travel, plan trips, hike, and spend time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward to exploring the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, and to improve my skiing skills this winter (Illinois ski hills aren’t quite the same)! 

Originally from Nebraska, I took time to travel the world before ending up in Boulder, Colorado! I was in the advertising world in Portland, Oregon prior to going back to school. I then moved to Colorado to earn my masters in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Denver.  I have been teaching since 2003 and have  taught third through fifth grade in Boulder Valley.  I strive to foster enthusiasm for learning about the world with an increased sense of self and others. I nurture a safe community where learning occurs through connections with others, hands-on experiences, creativity, and social-emotional well being. When not in the classroom, you will likely find me outside, going on worldly adventures, reading, or spending time with my family and friends!
